Monitoring SNMP using iEyeNet widget

Monitoring SNMP traffic on the Apple AirPort (or any other SNMP enabled device) has never been easier on a Mac.  iEyeNet is a widget by Digitician, available on their site and from the Apple Dashboard Widgets page.

iEyeNet requires Mac OSX 10.5 “Leopard” or later, and a SNMP-enabled router.

Note: If the SNMP device is not reachable, or if the settings are not correct, the following log will appear in /var/log/system.log:

DashboardClient[46527:a03] com.digitician.widget.iEyeNet: Error received from snmpget: Timeout: No Response from router_name.domain.com.

To stop the iEyeNet process, and all other Widget processes, refer to this document: Relaunching Widgets and Dock
